• Details:  This is such a sweet musical figurine.  It's an Irish March Angel, holding a bouquet of green clovers, known as shamrocks, a symbol of Ireland.  She is made of bisque porcelain, and is wearing a spring green dress with green polka dots and matching hat. The details on this angel are absolutely wonderful, She is hand painted with blond hair, blue eyes and white wings.  It plays "When Irish Eyes are Smiling", sounds perfect.  There is an On/Off tab on back so you can stop the music at will.  The wood bottom retains the original sticker from Ebeling & Reuss. Please note, this is not a rotating music figurine, does not move as it plays.  Adorable decor for St Patrick's Day.  A great gift for your favorite figurine or music box collector.

The song, "When Irish Eyes are Smiling" was published in 1912.  Written by Chauncey Olcott and George Graff, Jr., with music composed by Ernest Ball, as a tribute to Ireland. First played in the production of The Isle O' Dreams in 1925, it has been performed by over 200 singers including Bing Crosby, Connie Francis, and Roger Whittaker.
